Multi-talented Jorge Emilio Pardo is a composer, trumpeter and gaita player from Cartagena, Colombia. Influenced by the soul of instrumental and colombian folkloric music, his project El León Pardo was born in 2013 arising from desire to express unique and genuine sounds. 

 

This ensemble has developed a rustic and electric style by fusing Jorge’s strong knowledge and experience within an array of musical genres. Whilst nodding to the latin sounds of Cumbia and Salsa, El León Pardo also explores colombian folklore, african rhythms, classical, jazz and lesses known colombian genres such as gaita.
