pinó moré

Pinó Moré is a Colombian group that began in 2016 as a trio piano and by a turn of destiny it became a septet. Since its formation it has had important recitals in scenarios such as the El Bosque University, the National Pedagogical University and the Conservatory of the National University, in the mythical Casa de Quitas, in San Café Jazz Club, in Revellion Cultu-Bar, in Barcú Fair 2017 and in the Auditorium Fabio Lozano as winners of the university auditions, and the AlterArte and Hay Fiestón festivals in the city of Cartagena de Indias and the Jazz and Blues Festival of the Teatro La Libélula Dorada (Bogotá).

The group is led by the pianist and composer Santiago Pinaud Moreno, who since his return from France in 2012 has led an insatiable quest to mix the academic concepts with the folkloric tradition of our Caribbean coast (and other latitudes as well), influenced strongly by American jazz and blues. The main purpose of Pinó Moré is to embark on an adventure of sounds of yesteryear brought to this present, where each composition, full of a lot of rhythm, energy and psychedelia, is a reflection of the current music of our country. In these moments the group is concentrated in preparing its first album of study and in mounting repertoire of new composers.
